Folk Festival
Sutton on Derwent Folk Weekend, in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Local artists daily and a ‘Main
Concert’ (£6) on the Saturday, 8pm to midnight, featuring Steve Tilston – BBC Folk Awards winner 2012.

Italian Meal
7.30pm – treat yourself to a fine Italian meal at La Veccia Scuola in Petergate. Dishes priced from £5.95.
Sun 2nd
Open Gardens
12 noon to 5pm – Open Gardens & Scarecrow Festival at Wass, near Byland Abbey, Coxwold.
Various stalls, teas in Village Hall, Pub open.
Tues 4th
Indian Meal
7.30pm – Try a meal at Indian Ocean, Acomb Green.
Frequented on a regular basis by local FnT members.

Wed 5th
Pub Quiz
9pm for 9.30 start – Free pub quiz at the Masons Arms, inc free supper.
Sat 8th
Club Disco
8pm to midnight – this year’s FnT Anniversary disco at the Winning Post, Bishopthorpe Road.
Please bring a plate of food and be prepared to let your hair down!

Meet at 12.30pm for Sunday lunch at Beechwood Close, Shipton Road, ‘tried & tested’.

2pm. York Cemetery Walk – ‘Gardens & Honey Bees’. £2.50 inc refreshments.

7pm – “Second Tuesday Cinema” (STC) at the Reel Cinema (formerly Odeon).

Book Group
7.30pm – Book Group meeting at a members’ house discussing “The Daughter of Time” by Josephine Tey.
Fri 14th
Pub Crawl
From 8.30pm – Pub crawl starting at Snickleways, Goodramgate.
Sun 16th
Barbeque
From 3pm – Barbecue at a members’ house (weather dependent).
For £2 a head she will get good quality meat, fish, vegetarian options
– please bring other food and drinks. Need to know numbers in advance, so please phone by Sat 15th latest.

Country Walk
The June walk; 9 miles-ish. Based on the river Foss, walking upstream from York to Haxby.
